OptiMine® Showroom is Sandvik’s demo space in Tampere, Finland, where lighting is an essential part of the showroom’s use. The integrated lighting of the exhibition space has been designed by the lighting design company White Night Lighting. OptiMine® Showroom lighting transforms from a pleasant, evenly lit auditorium to a more contrasting stage or a fully dimmed cinema-like scene. AICCI was commissioned to draw up the implementation plan and manufacture the fixed shelving and Sandvik signage.
In addition to the lighting, it was important to ensure that the shelves could withstand the weight, as OptiMine® products are heavy despite their compact size. Dynamically adjustable lighting for different lighting scenes was implemented with Casambi lighting control. For the shelves, this means that the lighting of each shelf and its circular background can be adjusted separately. The project was implemented in 2019 and the OptiMine® display furniture were later awarded in the Sandvik Goup innovation competition.
